Create and issue your first invoice

A careful first invoice gives you a repeatable workflow for every invoice after it.

Set up the business

Create your account, verify your email, and create or select your business workspace. The overview’s Your first invoice panel takes you through saved business details, a customer and an invoice draft. An owner can enter the business name, address, country and payment instructions in Business settings.

If you plan to email invoices, add the business email customers should reply to before issuing. You can also use Customize invoice design to open the branding settings. The setup panel reflects saved records; still check the complete document before issue. Preview and staging environments capture test emails rather than delivering them.

Add the customer and the work

Create the customer with the billing name, address, country and email. Start an invoice draft and select that customer. Add descriptions that will make sense to the recipient, not just your own team.

Enter the quantity, unit price, discount and chosen tax label and rate for each line. Add the purchase-order reference or other identifying information if the customer needs it to process the document.

Check currency, dates and totals

Select USD, EUR, GBP, CAD or JPY. For a non-USD invoice, enter your chosen USD-per-unit exchange rate. Confirm the issue date and due date, and check the calculated line totals against the agreed work.

The application calculates from your inputs. It does not decide what tax treatment or additional invoice wording is appropriate for the sale. Review those details before issuing.

Review and issue

Save the draft and preview the document. Check the business, recipient, line descriptions, amounts, currency and payment instructions together. If owner approval is enabled, have the current draft version approved.

Issue when ready. The invoice receives its number and the original details and PDF are preserved. Further edits to the customer or business profile will not change that issued document.

Share and follow the balance

Send the invoice by email, download the PDF or create a customer link for the selected invoice. Links can be revoked. Private workspace attachments are not automatically included with the public invoice link.

Check delivery history for the result of an email attempt, especially if a recipient says the message has not arrived. When a payment arrives outside Eftheia, record it against the invoice and check the remaining balance.

If your workspace pauses

Choose Retry access. If asked, sign in with the same account that opened the tab, then choose Return to original business. Business records stay hidden while access is checked.

Unfinished edits stay only in this open tab. Closing or reloading it discards them. After access returns, review your form and save it yourself: recovery does not save your edits or repeat a rejected action. To work in another business, explicitly discard these edits and choose that business.
